ASUS Transformer Prime – Official Launch

ASUS has officially unveiled the Eee Pad Transformer Prime. This is the world’s first quad-core Tegra 3 device, and is every bit as impressive as you’d hoped. The official specifications are now revealed – boasting an even better battery life than we’d previously reported.

Yes, that’s Gorilla Glass you see there. For those of you who aren’t aware, Gorilla Glass is the gold standard in toughened glass, and has been used by most high end Android handsets lately (including the Samsung Galaxy S2). It’s practically impossible to break, and highly resistant to scratches. Asus has also coated the screen in a special hydro-oleophobic (fingerprint resistant) coating, which should prevent smudges or greasy marks inhibiting the viewing experience.
